It was hard for me to decide what to read for DWJ March because I re-read most of my DWJ in the last year or so. I requested Wild Robert and Archer’s Goon from the library and I’ll do the read-alongs (both re-reads for me) and then go from there! I’m kind of wanting to re-read The Dark Lord of Derkholm this month though, even though I just re-read it recently. I just love Derk!
And yes, why don’t you have Howl? That’s just weird.

Oooo, Dark Lord of Derkholm. I know I read it ages ago, but I can’t really remember anything about it! Time for a reread, maybe?
I used to have The Year of the Griffin (the sequel), too, but I left it in the backseat window for too long and it dried up and died. That happened like seven years ago and I still regret it!
I love Year of the Griffin too. And again, I re-read it last year but maybe I want to read those two again this month. They are just so smart and witty and the griffins are awesome! And how sad that your book met a crusty end.

Wooooo DWJ Month! I love it. You have picked out several of the DWJ books that aren’t, like, all the way installed in my heart (Hexwood is especially kind of impenetrable to me), so I’ll be interested to see what you think.

I just reread Hexwood yesterday, and I understood it MUCH better than the first time I read it. It’s one of those books where you have to read EVERY word, and pay close attention, and think about things a lot. Also you maybe have to read it more than once– anyway, I really liked it!
