I just finished reading Anysia’s post describing what she plans to do with her blog (Booklorn) for 2009, and was inspired to do one of my own. I don’t want to fall into a non-posting rut again like I did last month, and so I’ve devised this schedule (subject to change at my whim):
- Mondays: Book-world news for the last week (not necessarily my own). This’ll incorporate my Delicious account, hopefully.
- Wednesdays: Something ebook-related (review? news?)
- Saturdays: Book review (non-ebook)
I’ll have to see just how I’ll be able to pull this off once the semester starts, but I think I can do it. I’m also doing a few challenges this year, and I’m hoping to join a few more:
Support Your Local Library Challenge. I do work in a (university) libary, but I want to make sure to get at least a few books from a public library, too.
2009 Pub Challenge. Any suggestions for books being published in 2009 is heartily welcome, as I only ave three on my list so far.
Read Your Own Books Challenge. My official goal is 25 books, but I really want to get at least half read. I think that’s somewhere around, er, 150 at the moment, so I probably won’t get there but I shall try very hard.
I mentioned this in my post yesterday, but I plan on doing a book contest sometime in the next year. I haven’t even begun to think about what it’ll be, or when, but I do know that I’m going to do it. More details shall arise as the year progress.
So that’s what I’m doing this year. What are you planning on doing? Have you worked out a schedule for your own blog? Are you hosting any contests or events?
