Guess what today is? It’s the first day of the Dog Days of Summer readathon, hosted by the Estella Society! Yay! I plan on spending the weekend reading as many books as I can that ping my nostalgia meter. Mostly this means re-reads, though I have a few new-to-me books as well that count.
Here’s my reading pile:
Spellcoats by Diana Wynne Jones / The Borrowers by Mary Norton / The War Between the Pitiful Teachers and the Splendid Kids by Stanley Kiesel / A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle / The Ear, The Eye and the Arm by Nancy Farmer / The Egypt Game by Zilpha Keatley Snyder / The Long Secret by Louise Fitzhugh / The View From Saturday by E.L. Konigsburg / The Sylvia Game by Vivian Alcock
Here’s my Goodreads shelf for the readathon, btw.
Since I won’t be online for most of today, I’m keeping my reading/eating notes in a paper notebook. Like in the olden days! (I’ll type them up later.) But I’ll also be tweeting updates, so be sure to follow me on Twitter if you want to get news that way.
Are you participating in the readathon?
