TSS (Apr. 10): Post-readathon & IMM (22)

The Sunday Salon (April 10)

The Sunday Salon.com So! The readathon was pretty awesome, right? I only read one book, myself, but I had a FANTASTIC time cohosting and being in charge and HAVING THE POWER to, like, do stuff. It was fun! Thanks so much to everyone who came and visited the readathon blog and left such nice comments! And especially thanks to my fellow readathon volunteers, cohosts and cheerleaders, who put so much work into making the ‘thon awesome!

I suppose I didn’t realize it before, but the hours I was cohosting (and the hours before and after when I was helping out) were really exhausting as well as fun. It all went so quick but I’ve been left tired and out of sorts. I think this happens to everyone who participates in the readathon, so I’m not overly worried about it. It’s just a little annoying, I guess.

How are you feeling in this post-readathon time? Are you really, really tired as well? All booked out?

Books read this week:
32. No Wind of Blame – Georgette Heyer [rating: Bin it]
33. Dragon and Thief – Timothy Zahn [rating: Buy it] e
34. Dragon and Soldier – Timothy Zahn [rating: Buy it] e
35. The Goose Girl – Shannon Hale [rating: Buy it] e

Books reviewed this week:
27. Dead End Gene Pool – Wendy Burden [rating: Buy it] R
32. No Wind of Blame – Georgette Heyer [rating: Bin it]

In My Mailbox (22)

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren (who was inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie‘s This Week in Books). Basically you just post about new books that came into your house over the past week, whether in the mail or by getting them at the library or by buying them in a store. Capiche?

For review:

I’m technically not accepting books for review from now until, er, whenever, but sometimes a surprise book comes in the mail. This showed up on Thursday, and doesn’t it look really interesting? It’s got stories from some of my favorite authors, so I’m really excited to read it!

See that ad in the top left corner? Yup, it’s still of sponsor Kevin Gerard, author of the Conor and the Crossworlds books, a YA fantasy adventure series! It’ll be up there until the end of April, but don’t forget to check out the website now if you’re interested.

  1. This was probably my funnest read-a-thon yet. And I didn’t even do as much reading as I had wanted to! But, the plus side to that is that I’m not all booked-out and could still read lot the next day.

Thanks for the hard work you did during the read-a-thon!

    1. Same here! I’m actually surprised at how not-exhausted I am, but then, I didn’t read many books or even stay up that late like I had the last four ‘thons, soooo. Maybe it’s not that surprising, haha.
